Cost Accountant OpportunityfirstPRO is partnering with an established manufacturing company in the Pennsauken, NJ area that is looking to add an experienced Cost Accountant to its Finance team. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for someone with a strong background in cost accounting, inventory accounting, and manufacturing who enjoys being hands-on with the day-to-day accounting operations. Looking to hire ASAP!Key Responsibilities:Oversee inventory accounting across production facilities, warehouses, and e-commerce operationsPerform regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventoryMaintain and improve standard costing models, product cost analyses, and landed cost calculationsReconcile inventory and research discrepancies across business unitsSupport cost accounting for manufactured and processed goods, including yield and waste trackingEnter and review production orders with the Finance teamCreate purchase orders for inventory based on sales order planningReview daily inventory reports and investigate outstanding itemsPartner with Accounts Receivable and Sales regarding inventory needed for customer ordersAssist with month-end inventory counts and reconcile inventory reports to the General LedgerResearch variances and prepare related journal entriesReview sales and gross profit reports for anomaliesAssist the Controller with ad hoc reporting, projects, and process improvementsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance3+ years of accounting experienceCost accounting and general accounting experience within a manufacturing environment requiredStrong inventory control and reconciliation experienceIntermediate to advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPERP experience; Sage experience is a plusExperience supporting an ERP implementation or conversion is a plusStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsThis is an excellent opportunity for a Cost Accountant who enjoys working closely with operations and wants to take ownership of inventory, costing, and related accounting processes.
