CNC Mill Machinist / Setup
Location: San Fernando Valley, CA
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC milling machines
Test and run CNC part programs
Machine precision metal components according to specifications
Read and interpret blueprints in both standard and metric measurements
Perform shop math and measurement conversions
Select and use proper machinist tools and precision measuring instruments
Inspect completed parts to verify dimensions and quality
Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and program-related issues
Work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing teams
Support continuous improvement and efficient machining processes
Qualifications
5+ years of professional CNC machine operation experience
Strong CNC mill setup and operating experience
Ability to independently set up machines and run part programs
Strong blueprint-reading skills
Knowledge of machine shop practices, shop math, materials, and machining techniques
Experienced using machinist tools and precision measuring instruments
High School Diploma or GED required
Machine Shop Technology, Machine Tool Technology, or Machinist certification preferred
Mechanical assembly experience is a plus
Must be detail-oriented and able to work independently in a precision manufacturing environment
