Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Compensation: $27.22–$39.67 per hour, depending on license and experience

Position Overview

We are seeking an Outpatient Therapist to join an Adult Behavioral Health Program in Southgate, Michigan. The therapist will provide outpatient mental health and co-occurring substance use services to adults and families through clinical assessments, individual and group therapy, treatment planning, and coordinated care.

This role offers flexible scheduling, paid training, mileage reimbursement, and a collaborative, team-oriented work environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct intake evaluations and provide direct clinical treatment to adults and families.

- Assess client needs related to mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders using person-centered planning principles.

- Provide individual and group therapy.

- Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care providers, family members, and other community service professionals.

- Maintain accurate clinical records and complete documentation within required timelines.

- Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and case consultations.

- Coordinate discharge planning and appropriate services before case closure.

- Maintain professional ethics, state licensure, and compliance with agency and funding requirements.

- Complete 24 hours of training in adult mental health and/or co-occurring substance use disorder treatment.

- Obtain the Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) credential within 120 days of hire.

Schedule

- Regular program hours include Monday–Thursday, 8:30 AM–7:00 PM; Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM; and Saturday, 9:00 AM–1:00 PM.

- Flexible scheduling is available.

- Some evening and weekend hours may be required based on program needs.

- No on-call requirement.

Compensation and Benefits

- Fully licensed clinicians: $29.47–$39.67 per hour.

- Limited-license clinicians: $27.22–$36.63 per hour.

Compensation is determined by licensing level and experience and is not negotiable.

Required Qualifications

- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.

- Applicable Michigan professional license or limited license: LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, LLPC, LLP, or TLLP.

- At least one year of experience treating or working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness; qualifying fieldwork or internship experience may count.

- Ability to obtain the QMHP credential within 120 days of hire.
