Senior Estimator Life Sciences

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Estimator to join our team in support of large-scale Life Sciences construction projects and programs. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with a strong track record of delivering accurate CM-based at-risk cost estimates and providing strategic cost leadership throughout the project lifecycle. This individual will possess strong interpersonal skills the ability to effectively organize and influence diverse stakeholder groups and experience evaluating change orders through analytical and fact-based approaches. 

• Developing cost plans and estimates from concept through detailed design across multiple geographic regions; with internal and external staff. 
• Delivering and presenting updated cost plans at appropriate design milestones. 
• Experience in providing program-level estimates for specific scopes of work 
• Coordinate manage and supervise the work of support staff. 
• Reviewing proposed design changes/new technologies and preparing estimates within appropriate accuracy levels. 
• Help drive cost model trends by collecting analyzing and summarizing cost information from completed projects. 
• Assess cost effectiveness of alternate products and value engineering ideas at a program level. 
• Support training to Development and external Estimating teams on new project estimating tools/templates. 
• Support preparation of leadership presentations for the clients Preconstruction and Estimating team. 
• Delivering Life Cycle Costing models. 
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role which are to be adhered to where applicable.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management Cost Management Quantity Surveying Engineering or a related construction field. 
• Minimum 5 years of construction management-based estimating experience developing at-risk cost estimates. 
• Experience in a construction cost management role such as Cost Manager Quantity Surveyor Estimator Cost Engineer Project Engineer or Project Cost Controls. 
• Experience providing conceptual estimating and/or pre-construction services within a construction management or related environment. 
• Experience supporting large-scale Life Sciences construction projects and programs. 
• Proven ability to develop review and communicate estimates across all phases of design and construction. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively present cost information to project teams and leadership. 
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the ability to organize coordinate and influence cross-functional teams in complex project environments. 
• Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters including value management and value engineering. 
• Experience evaluating change orders and providing fact-based cost and scope assessments to support commercial decision-making and cost control efforts. 
• Ability to analyze cost impacts identify opportunities for savings and support resolution of commercial issues using logical data-driven recommendations. 

Additional Information :

The base salary range for this role is $140K-$170K USD. This range reflects the companys good faith estimate of the base salary for this position at the time of the posting. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience skills qualifications and internal addition to base salary employees may be eligible for bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
