Staff Accountant

This is an in-office position in Methuen, MA Summary: Responsible for maintaining proper accounting records. Accurately and effectively classify, prepare, record and verify financial data for multiple entities. Responsible for overseeing high number of independent entities. Responsibilitiesinclude (but not limited to) thefollowing: Reconcile bank statements Review all general ledger account activity to ensure account balance accuracy Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and necessary accruals Prepare and record journal entries for month end close Monthly analysis of actual to budget Put together year-end financial packets for yearend Financial Review Various AD HOC reports as required Tenant billing and collections, ensuring accurate billing by reviewing leases CAM reconciliations as needed Skills/qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required 3 to 5 years of relative work experience in Accounting field required Experience with accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills are strongly preferred Strong organizational skills Ability to multi-task and attention to details Competencies: Passion for Results Sets and maintains high standards for self and others, acts as a role model Consistently meets or exceeds goals Contributes to the overall team performance; understands how his/her role relates to others Sets, prioritizes and maintains focus on important activities Problem Solving and Decision Making Identifies and resolves issues and problems Uses information at hand to make decisions and solve problems; includes others when necessary Identifies root cause of a problem and implements a solution to prevent from recurring Interpersonal Relationships & Influence Develops and maintains relationships with team Operates with integrity; demonstrates honesty, treats others with respect, keeps commitments Conflict Management Seeks to understand conflict through active listening Recognizes conflicts as an opportunity to learn and improve Resolves situations using facts involved, ensuring consistency with policies and procedures Escalates issues as appropriate What we offer: Join the Cafua Management Family and Enjoy the Perks!
