Service Technician

Position Summary The Residential Service Technician is a troubleshooter and service expert responsible for diagnosing and resolving customer concerns regarding security systems. The Technician advises customers and the customer care center on system status and coordinates inspections or installations with appropriate agencies. Key Responsibilities Service fire and carbon monoxide detection, networking, hosted video solutions, and access control. Follow and complete required processes of wired/wireless technology and connection procedures. Test and validate system signals/communication with central monitoring to establish service. Locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring. Readjust equipment, repair or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation. Read blueprints, building and electrical plans to complete equipment repairs. Prepare trouble order forms to report temporary repairs. Coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments, or other appropriate agencies. Qualifications Minimum 2 years experience installing and inspecting or repairing ADT or comparable product lines. High school diploma or GED. Service experience; technical aptitude; strong verbal communication; customer‑focused mindset; ability to thrive in uncertainty. Valid driver's license. Ability to read building electrical and sprinkler plans for equipment troubleshooting. Physical ability to stand, stoop, lift, climb, and crawl as needed. Benefits and Compensation The pay range is $18.00 - $33.43 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Full benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with employer match) available from the 1st of the month after 31 days of employment.
