Commercial Music Cinematographer Student Worker (FWS/NFWS)

Position Summary The Cinematographer serves as the lead camera operator and video production specialist for the Commercial Music Program. This position produces high-quality video content including music videos, documentaries, promotional materials, live performances, and multi-camera broadcasts. Responsibilities Serve as lead camera operator for music videos, concerts, documentaries, interviews, and promotional content. Help set up and operate the program's ten-camera broadcast center for live productions and mentor other students. Capture high-quality video and audio for productions. Edit video projects and assist with post-production workflows. Maintain and organize camera equipment and production gear. Collaborate with faculty, students, and marketing staff on creative projects. Other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications Experience operating Sony FX3 cinema cameras. Proficiency with DaVinci Resolve & Adobe suite. Knowledge of professional camera operation, lighting, and composition. Experience with multi-camera live production workflows. Strong creative storytelling and visual communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects. Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet production deadlines. Eligibility Requirements Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program. Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student. Maintain good financial standing with the University. You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
