The Payroll Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll within a medium-sized team. Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor, this role manages the regular payroll cycle and assists with benefits administration. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and maintains confidentiality while supporting employees with payroll inquiries. This position involves both manual payroll processing and the opportunity to learn new payroll software, with minimal travel required.

 

Responsibilities

• Process regular payroll cycles accurately and on time
• Maintain detailed payroll records and documentation
• Perform data entry related to payroll and employee information
• Generate payroll and related reports as needed
• Provide support and respond to employee payroll inquiries
• Track employee time and attendance for payroll accuracy

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in payroll processing
• Familiarity or willingness to learn payroll software
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Effective communication skills
