Mobility Project Physical Therapy is seeking a skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dedicated team at our rehabilitation center in Franklin Park, New Jersey. This full-time position is critical in helping our patients regain their mobility and quality of life through comprehensive rehabilitation strategies.

Work Environment

You will be working onsite in our modern rehabilitation center, which is strategically designed to enhance patient recovery. Our center features state-of-the-art treatment rooms and rehabilitation areas designed to facilitate a range of therapeutic treatments. The work schedule is full-time, with operating hours from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement personalized treatment programs tailored to individual patient needs, focusing on restoring mobility and function.
• Develop and execute comprehensive care plans that utilize evidence-based practices, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and patient education.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary health team to coordinate care, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient progress, adapting treatment strategies as necessary and providing ongoing feedback to patients regarding their recovery journey.
• Educate patients and their families about self-management strategies, pain management, and injury prevention.
• Document patient interactions, treatment plans, and outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
• Participate actively in professional development and continuing education to stay current with emerging trends in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will predominantly engage with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and various musculoskeletal conditions. Our patient population ranges from young athletes to elderly individuals seeking to regain strength and mobility after surgery. Your ability to relate to and motivate patients will be vital in fostering a supportive rehabilitation environment.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• An active state license as a Physical Therapist, ensuring compliance with New Jersey state regulations.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• A strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a robust understanding of therapeutic exercise protocols.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, allowing effective collaboration with both healthcare colleagues and patients.

Preferred Experience

While the minimum experience required is two years, candidates with experience in advanced therapeutic modalities and familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems will be given preference. An untarnished professional record with no history of board or disciplinary actions is essential.

Compensation and Benefits
