Work Environment

The Grandview Rehabilitation Center is a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility designed to accommodate the diverse needs of our patients. Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations, including reviewing patient histories, performing specific assessments, and determining treatment recommendations.
• Communicating evaluation findings and developing tailored treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families.
• Implementing evidence-based treatment protocols while closely monitoring patient progress and outcomes.
• Consulting with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care and documenting any changes in patients' conditions that may require updates to their plan of care.
• Completing discharge planning and follow-up care with a focus on facilitating seamless transitions and continuity of care.
• Maintaining accurate documentation that reflects the patient's course of care, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Participating in departmental goals and compliance with all governmental and accreditation standards.
• Engaging in community outreach and marketing activities to promote rehabilitation services.
• Actively pursuing opportunities for professional development and serving as a clinical instructor to guide physical therapy students.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries and injuries, including but not limited to post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic conditions affecting mobility. Your role is essential in improving functional outcomes and enhancing the quality of life for patients in our community.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy.
• A current state license to practice physical therapy in New Jersey or eligibility to obtain one.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster meaningful relationships with patients and their families.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical practices in patient care.

Preferred Experience

While prior work experience is not mandatory, candidates with experience in a rehabilitation setting or exposure to orthopedic cases will be given preference. Familiarity with rehabilitation technologies and treatment methodologies will enhance your integration into our team.
