This role is a fully remote position, enabling our counselors to work from anywhere while engaging in a collaborative virtual team environment. Key Responsibilities\n

• Client Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health needs, utilizing evidence-based methodologies to inform treatment planning.

• Therapeutic Interventions: Develop and implement customized therapy plans tailored to each client, which may include individual and group therapy sessions focusing on issues like anxiety, depression, and substance abuse.

• Crisis Management: Provide immediate support and intervention for clients in crisis, employing effective de-escalation techniques and creating safety plans as needed.

• Consistent Client Engagement: Meet regularly with clients to monitor their progress, adapt treatment plans, and equip them with coping strategies and resources for long-term success.

• Collaboration and Referral: Coordinate with other healthcare providers to refer clients for additional support and specialized care when necessary, fostering an integrative approach to mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will involve working with a diverse client population, including individuals struggling with anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and various other mental health challenges. You will be expected to show cultural competence and an understanding of the unique needs of different communities within Paterson, ensuring that all clients feel seen, heard, and valued.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and active license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in New Jersey.

• A minimum of four years of related professional experience, demonstrating a broad understanding of mental health disorders and therapeutic practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n
