Position Overview

Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations to design tailored rehabilitation programs.
• Implement hands-on therapeutic techniques, corrective exercises, and modalities that specifically address each patient's needs.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, home exercise programs, and strategies for pain management and injury prevention.
• Monitor and document patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Participate in clinical teaching initiatives, mentoring physical therapy interns, residents, and support staff.
• Deliver in-services and training sessions to staff on current best practices and emerging trends in orthopedic therapy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance comprehensive care and ensure seamless coordination among healthcare providers.
• With management support, engage in clinical research to advance orthopedic therapy techniques and improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients dealing with post-operative recovery, sports injuries, chronic pain conditions, and mobility impairments. You will utilize personalized treatment approaches to meet the unique needs of each patient, fostering a supportive and encouraging environment that enhances their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current New Jersey State Physical Therapy license.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting, particularly in outpatient rehabilitation.
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and fellow healthcare professionals.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple patient cases simultaneously.

Preferred Experience

• Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is highly preferred, showcasing specialized knowledge in this area.
• Experience in home health rehabilitation services is a plus, allowing for greater adaptability in different therapy environments.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
