Our differentiated battle management and cyber solutions deliver timely, mission-enabling information and provide superior situational awareness and understanding to protect the U.S. and its global allies.The Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC) is seeking a Principal Contract Administrator (level 3) to join our team in Redondo Beach, CA, Linthicum, MD, or Apopka, FL.This position will support the rapidly growing businesses serving Government, Commercial, and internal customer programs. This is a full-time position requiring an ability to work in-office.Associated roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Administers, extends, negotiates and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts.Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirement, and customer specifications.Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.Review and analyze customer Requests for Proposal (RFPs) to understand Statements of Work (SOW)/contract requirements and advise the program team on contractual terms and conditions.Ensure company proposals are fully responsive to prospective customer requirements, prepare proposal submittal documents, and coordinate appropriate levels of internal review and approval.Manage proposal fact-finding and conduct negotiations between customer with support from the program team.Establish a good working relationship with customers to administer, modify, negotiate and terminate standard and nonstandard contractual agreements.Oversee contract performance including schedules and deliverables, maintain compliant contractual documentation/correspondence, and collaborate with the program team to recommend and complete actions to ensure satisfactory program performance.Work with program business management team to closely monitor contract funding and payments.Advise your program team of contractual rights and obligations on your assigned contracts, including interpretation of contract terms and conditions.Collaborate effectively with other functional groups (finance, supply chain, mission assurance, legal, etc.) during all phases of the contract lifecycle.Ability to effectively interface with customer counterparts via email, telephone, and in person, when appropriate.This role will have significant visibility within high visibility programs, including Division and Sector submittals and reviews and must manage tight deadlines in a complex environment. This individual must have the ability to meet high performance expectations in a very dynamic environment. Excellent communication is a must as the selected candidate will be directly involved in negotiations with the customer as a strategic team member. Our team is looking for someone who wants to grow and get experience with different contract types.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with 4+ years of professional experience in contracts, subcontracts, business management, finance, accounting, or related field or Master's degree with 2+years of experience. High school diploma with 9+ years of related experience will also be considered.Experience working with proposal development and negotiationsU.S. Citizenship required.Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience with fixed price and cost type contracts, Other Transaction Agreements,FAR/DFARS, proposals, and/or familiarity with DoD contractingPrior experience with commercial contracting and/or the semiconductor industryAbility to obtain a Top Secret clearanceNorthrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment which encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company.
