Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with high school-age students, especially in a resource or co-teaching setting
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere
• Proven organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver differentiated instruction in both resource and co-taught classrooms, tailoring lessons to meet students’ diverse needs
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers to plan and deliver curriculum that ensures access for all students
• Develop, monitor, and implement IEPs, regularly reporting on progress and goals
• Provide support, guidance, and encouragement to students, helping build their self-confidence and academic skills
• Communicate regularly with families, actively participating in meetings and conferences
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and required documentation
