Title: Manufacturing Engineer Duration: 6 months Location: Minnetonka, MN 55345 Shift: 2nd shift Note: HM is looking to convert this candidate in 6-12 months depending on worker performance/attendance and business need. Description: The Manufacturing Engineer applies strong technical skills and knowledge of manufacturing operations to lead and execute complex engineering tasks. This role requires proactive problem‑solving, cross‑functional collaboration, and the ability to drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Core candidate requirements 3-4 years of experience is the ideal range Background in high‑volume manufacturing environments (e.g., regulated industries like medical devices, aerospace, or large‑scale factory production preferred) Strong technical skills are essential Proven problem‑solving ability (expected with 4 years' experience) Excellent communication skills (must be easy to talk to) Demonstrates leadership potential Strong communication skills Strong technical skills Shift flexibility is strongly preferred (ideally open to both 1st and 2nd shift) Local candidates only Interview process will involve heavy upfront engagement from the engineering team Responsibilities Lead and take ownership of complex manufacturing engineering tasks that may involve multiple interrelated elements. Anticipate and identify key technical issues; develop recommendations and solutions even when no precedent exists. Apply creative thinking and introduce new methods or approaches to resolve problems. Evaluate and consider impacts on related systems, equipment, and processes when implementing changes. Collaborate with peers, technicians, and mentors through reviews of technical rationale, verification, and validation activities. Support manufacturing operations by troubleshooting issues, improving processes, and optimizing equipment performance. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, A3 problem solving, standard work, waste reduction, and efficiency projects. Ensure alignment with business objectives and maintain understanding of company operations and manufacturing environment. Additional Details Position is non‑exempt; overtime is paid at time‑and‑a‑half for hours worked over 40.
