What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff visitors and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within a government correctional location.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner and report security-related concerns unusual activity and/or policy violations according to site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings grounds entry points and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor movement in assigned areas verify access permissions as directed by site policy and document entries exits and/or incidents in required logs and reports.
• Support order at the location by communicating with site personnel following post instructions and assisting with security-related responses during routine operations and elevated situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
