POSITION PURPOSE:

Inventory Management Specialist plans, implements,monitors and coordinates the maintenance, service and installation of store/food prep equipment along with being responsible forsafety, labor productivity and efficiency, inventory management, customer satisfaction, employee retention, and on time arrival. The Inventory Management Specialist role models outstanding leadership, interpersonal skills, teamwork, superior judgment and decision making, negotiating, planning and organizing skills and commitment to the success of the Bashas’ Family of Store’s team Responsibilities: An Inventory Management Specialist is a responsible, friendly person who can safely work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service. An Inventory Management Specialist’s responsibilities include: The Inventory Management Specialist has the primary responsibility of efficiently and accurately checking in all grocery vendor deliveries, but also meat, produce, bakery, deli and liquor vendors. Observing all store rules and company policies. Enforcing store operating hours for receiving according to company policy. Controlling the flow of vendor traffic through receiving doors. Checking and verifying all grocery items received to ensure that the items listed on vendor invoices are actually delivered and meet store policy for quality, count, and condition. Verifying that all vendor invoices include legible pricing and are properly extended. Flagging attention to any discrepancies and shortages on invoice documents and obtain the signature of the delivery vendor for confirmation of such shortages according to company policy. Handling damaged and spoiled products according to company policy and assisting in controlling the level of damaged goods. Performing accurate posting of all invoice documents to the receiving log and place all signed invoices in the designated and secure area. Keeping all warehouse, receiving, storage, and spill areas clean, clear and in good order. Bailing cardboard boxes and cleaning dock as needed. Using bailer, pallet jacks and forklifts in compliance with company safety policy. Ensuring compliance with heath department, weights and measures requirements, liquor and tobacco laws, and invoice handling. All other related duties as assigned Qualifications: Desired qualifications include: Friendly and customer service oriented. Interest in food and cooking a plus. Customer service, restaurant, barista, food service, grocery or similar experience desired Self-motivated, with a high attention to detail, quality and presentation Skills to communicate effectively with coworkers and customers Ability to work independently, effectively manage time and multitask in a fast-paced environment Ability to read, understand and follow through on verbal and written directions Ability to reliably meet required work schedule and adhere to company attendance policy Must be 18 years of age Employees may occasionally experience the following physical demands for an extended period: Standing, Sitting, Lifting + Stocking (Up to 50 lbs.), Pushing, Keyboarding, Telephone Use, Walking, Bendinging, Bending #J-18808-Ljbffr Bashas' Inc.
