Senior Accountant (Contract) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a 2–6 month contract opportunity in Alhambra, CA. Key Responsibilities Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities. Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Analyze financial statements and investigate variances. Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items. Assist with financial reporting and management reporting packages. Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis as needed. Maintain and improve accounting processes and internal controls. Partner with cross-functional departments to ensure accurate financial data. Assist with external audits and provide requested supporting documentation. Support special projects, process improvements, and ad hoc financial analysis. Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience at the Senior Accountant level. Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred, including familiarity with healthcare accounting processes, reimbursements, or medical organization financial operations. Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including: Pivot Tables VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP SUMIFS Index/Match
