Litigation Legal Assistant
Musick, Peeler & Garrett LLP's San Diego office has an opening available for a Litigation Legal Assistant with a minimum of five years of CA litigation experience. This position is full-time, non-exempt, and is a hybrid position (eligible to work from home one day a week after 45 days), with hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Requirements:
This position is for a fast-paced, litigation desk and requires solid knowledge of federal, state, and appellate court filing rules and procedures with a strong litigation background that includes e-filing, trial prep, and trial experience. Must have knowledge of preparing tables of contents and authorities, preparing discovery shells, and very familiar with the litigation life cycle of a case. Must have excellent proofreading and writing skills, and great attention to detail. Excellent follow-up, initiative, organizational, and calendaring skills is required. Excellent typing, formatting, editing, redlining, and computer software skills needed with specific knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and iManage or similar document management system. Knowledge of CompuLaw, Best Authority, Adobe Pro, and CCC Macros are a plus.
The ideal candidate will be collaborative, proactive, have a positive attitude, have great communication skills, and be a true team player.
