Senior Accountant

Job Description My client, an international Marketing Company located in Newark, has an opportunity for a Sr. Accountant. Primarily remote, but would need to in office 1 day a quarter. Responsibilities Maintain and ensure proper reconciliation of general ledger accounts. The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in the overall accounting operations of the company. Working with our Manager of Accounting, this individual will be responsible for collaborating as a team to effectively execute accounting operations. Ensure strict adherence to all compliance and regulatory filings. Analyze account details upon request and present their results. Carryout and maintain internal controls. Assist with the preparation of internal and external audit requests. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements. Verify, investigate and correct discrepancies identified in the general ledger. Ad hoc projects as requested by management. Qualifications 3+ years of general accounting experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required. Proven expertise of GAAP; experience with cost accounting preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with Excel and use of advanced functions; Oracle applications, Essbase preferred. Process improvement driven, with strong project management, verbal and written communication skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
