Job Description

As a Security Officer Part Time Screening Specialist in North Andover, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Screener at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will support a welcoming, secure environment by conducting X-ray screening, managing access control and badges, and using computer or tablet systems. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and team members, and help deter security-related incidents. Pay Rate: $20.44 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTime Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, delivery personnel, and/or vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-screening protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen personnel, visitors, and deliveries entering the facility in accordance with established procedures, including verifying identification, reviewing access authorization, and directing individuals to appropriate check-in points.
• Monitor entry points, screening equipment, and assigned areas for unusual activity, prohibited items, and/or access-control concerns; report observations through established communication channels.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned business areas and the perimeter, documenting observations and helping to deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
