Work Environment\n

This position is remote, allowing you to engage with clients in an outpatient setting from the comfort of your own location. Having successfully transitioned to virtual therapy platforms, our team leverages innovative technology to maintain personal connections with clients while ensuring privacy and confidentiality. Your work hours will be Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., providing a structured schedule conducive to both work-life balance and professional development.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform thorough assessments of clients experiencing mood disorders, evaluating the intensity, frequency, and duration of their symptoms.

• Collaborate closely with clients to create and implement personalized treatment plans that reflect their unique goals and preferences.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adapting these approaches to suit individual client needs.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to foster independence and resilience.

• Regularly track client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure ongoing effectiveness.

• Engage and collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.

• Stay updated on the latest research and advancements related to mood disorders to continuously improve treatment methodologies.

• Maintain meticulous records and documentation, adhering to all legal and ethical standards to guarantee client confidentiality.

• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

• Advocate for clients and mental health awareness, actively working to reduce stigma and promote understanding within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Additionally, you may provide therapeutic support to vulnerable populations, including refugees, individuals facing domestic violence, and those dealing with homelessness. This diverse client base allows you to make a significant and transformative impact on the lives of those you serve.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

• Holding a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
