Details 16-bed Cardiac ICU (CVCU) unit caring for pre/post open-heart surgery patients using a universal bed concept where patients remain in the same private room from surgery through discharge Also cares for general ICU, complex cardiology, IABP/Impella, and post-cardiac arrest cooling patients Third shift schedule, 6:30p-7a, working every other weekend 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week Requirements Active, unrestricted RN license (IN or compact) required BLS and ACLS certification required ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred No prior nursing experience required, though previous experience is preferred Additional Information Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement nursing interventions based on evidence-based practice Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including patient and family education Coordinate care with the interprofessional team and delegate tasks appropriately to team members Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures monitoring Clinical educator provides customized orientation for new staff Promote a positive, healing environment centered on patient and family-centered care American Traveler Job ID P-746225.
