Senior Accountant

Senior AccountantThree Saints Bay is looking for a Senior Accountant to help support our Family of Companies in Manassas VA in a hybrid work environment.The Senior Accountant collaborates with internal and external clients to prepare or review adjusting journal entries, prepare or review account reconciliations, research account rec discrepancies and resolve timely, and as required, provide ad-hoc support and analyses. Internal clients include Human Resources, Operations and team members from Accounting and Finance.The Senior Accountant must exercise judgment and possess strong problem-solving skills in performing his/her duties while complying with established policies and procedures and meeting strict deadlines particularly during the month end close.Responsibilities and Functions:Prepare and/or review Journal Entries with detailed supporting documentationDevelop templates for usage by all teams to ensure adequate support and similar approaches for similar entries.Create, reconcile, and/or approve assigned balance sheet accounts for several legal entities.Research unreconciled balances and collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper and timely clearing. Escalate aged unresolved variances to the Senior Controller or Controller.Develop automation to improve accuracy and create efficiencyAssist in preparation of audit schedules and other required audit supportMaintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately in accordance with company policyEstablish a business relationship with internal and external customersEnsure adjusting journal entries are in accordance with US GAAPPrepare and enter labor accruals in accordance with month end close deadlineOther duties as assignedRequired Skills and Qualifications:Minimum 5 years' experience as a Senior AccountantExperience resolving complicated account reconciliation variancesDemonstrated ability to effectively interact with others and work independentlyWorking knowledge of US GAAPAbility to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAttention to detail and organizational skills are a mustCompetence with import and export of data into other software systemsMaintain confidentiality of sensitive informationProficiency with Microsoft Office productsDesired Skills and Qualifications:Experience with Deltek Costpoint and Deltek T&EBachelor's degree in Accounting strongly preferredExcellent people skills to include collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environmentOutstanding work ethic and commitment to organizational successHiring Range: $75,000-$85,000Three Saints Bay, LLC and its subsidiaries offer a team-oriented working environment and the opportunity to work with exceptional, dedicated industry professionals.
