Outreach and Energy Assistance Specialist Jr

Contract Length: 12 Months Location: Carneys Point, NJ Work Setup: On-site

Our client is committed to helping individuals and families access essential energy assistance programs that make a meaningful difference in their communities. They are seeking a compassionate Outreach and Energy Assistance Specialist Jr who enjoys working with people, providing administrative support, and guiding applicants through assistance programs.

Outreach and Energy Assistance Specialist Jr Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with USF (Universal Service Fund) and LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program) applications.
  • Provide outreach and education to community members regarding available energy assistance programs.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including data entry, document management, and record maintenance.
  • Communicate professionally and empathetically with applicants while delivering excellent customer service.
  • Collaborate with a team of Outreach Specialists and managers to ensure timely processing of applications.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office applications to complete daily responsibilities accurately and efficiently.
  • On-site in Carneys Point.

Outreach and Energy Assistance Specialist Jr Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience with USF and/or LIHEAP programs.
  • Outreach and administrative experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a high level of empathy and professionalism.
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual communication skills.
  • Previous experience supporting community assistance or social service programs.

Schedule & Assignment Details

  • Full-time, Monday through Friday.
  • 8-hour shifts with flexible scheduling.
  • No overtime expected.
  • Initial 12-month contract with potential for extension based on business needs.
