Take the next step in your occupational therapy career by supporting students in an engaging educational environment near Jersey City, NJ. We are seeking two dedicated Occupational Therapists to step in as soon as possible and work through June 2027. This opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful difference every day in the lives of preschool through 8th grade students.
In this role, you’ll benefit from a manageable schedule—working 6.5 hours per day, five days a week. The total caseload consists of 59 students, thoughtfully divided between both therapists to ensure supportive service delivery.
What We’re Looking For:
- Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Previous experience in a school-based OT role, or strong interest in pediatric and school therapy
- Ability to assess, plan, and deliver individualized OT interventions for students from preschool through 8th grade
- Collaborative and communicative approach when working with teachers, families, and other specialists
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and provide therapeutic interventions that promote student participation and success within the educational setting
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each student’s unique needs
- Collaborate closely with educational teams and contribute to IEP meetings and documentation
- Monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed to ensure each student’s development is maximized
- Maintain clear, timely records and communicate effectively with parents and staff
