Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients entering the detox program, identifying their social, emotional, and environmental challenges to create tailored treatment plans.

• Engage clients in individual and family counseling sessions, providing empathetic support and evidence-based interventions to help them navigate their recovery journey.

• Develop and implement service plans that incorporate achievable goals, appropriate interventions, and continuous progress monitoring to ensure effective outcomes.

• Coordinate with community resources and partners to facilitate access to vital services such as housing, healthcare, and rehabilitation, enhancing client support.

• Actively participate in crisis intervention efforts, conducting risk assessments, and developing safety plans when necessary, to protect the well-being of clients.

• Increase community awareness through outreach activities, advocating for our services and promoting mental health resources in the Oakland area.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in case conferences and team meetings to align on client care and share best practices.

• Stay informed about the evolving landscape of social services, trauma-informed care practices, and best practices in mental health counseling.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals and families facing the trials of detoxification, including those with co-occurring mental health disorders. You will serve a diverse clientele, each with unique backgrounds and circumstances. Your role is crucial in ensuring they receive the tailored support necessary to overcome challenges related to substance use, mental health, and social instability.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.

• Active California state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Compensation and Benefits\n
