Plaintiff Personal Injury Attorney – Medical Malpractice & Catastrophic Injury Torgan Cooper & Aaron New York, NY | Full-Time | In Person Salary: $100,000–$165,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications The Opportunity We are seeking a highly motivated plaintiff's personal injury attorney who has a strong desire to help people and wants to grow as a litigator. The attorney will work on significant and complex matters involving: Medical malpractice Catastrophic personal injury Other serious injury matters The attorney will have meaningful responsibility throughout the life of a case, including: Case investigation and development Drafting pleadings and other legal documents Legal research and writing Motion practice Taking and defending depositions Working with experts and other litigation professionals Client communications and case strategy Preparing cases for mediation and settlement Trial preparation and, depending on experience and interest, participation in trial We are particularly interested in attorneys who want to develop their litigation andtrial skills. Qualifications: Admission to the New York Bar required Personal injury or civil litigation experience preferred Medical malpractice experience is a plus, but not required Deposition and/or trial experience is preferred, but not required Exceptional legal writing, research, and analytical skills Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to take ownership of assignments and cases Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong work ethic and professional judgment Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff Genuine interest in plaintiff-side litigation We welcome attorneys at different stages of their litigation careers.
