About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics to provide executive leadership and strategic direction for its NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletics program. The successful candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive administration of athletics, ensuring the success, well-being, and equity of student-athletes. This includes overseeing a multi-million-dollar budget, compliance with NCAA and Title IX regulations, and leading the development of a strategic plan that aligns with the university's mission. The role also involves fostering relationships with alumni, donors, and community stakeholders to enhance the visibility and revenue of the athletics program. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years' of progressive administrative experience in intercollegiate athletics, with a strong background in fiscal management and a proven record of fundraising. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of NCAA Division I compliance, strategic leadership skills, and a commitment to the success and well-being of student-athletes. A Master's degree and experience in a senior athletics administration role are preferred. The position requires the ability to build effective relationships, maintain confidentiality, and stay abreast of national trends in intercollegiate athletics.
