We are currently seeking a Cash Applications Specialist to join our Accounting team in Hicksville, NY .

This role is responsible for accurately applying customer payments, maintaining accounts receivable records, supporting cash reconciliation activities, and assisting with various accounting functions. • Accurately apply customer payments received via check, ACH, wire transfers, and credit cards to customer accounts.
• Process and reconcile daily cash receipts and deposits.
• Research and resolve unapplied cash, payment discrepancies, and short payments.
• Process and print invoices for web transactions.
• Review and respond to customer invoice and payment inquiries.
• Maintain accurate accounts receivable records and assist with customer account reconciliations.
• Generate and distribute accounts receivable statements as needed.
• Assist with collections and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Prepare and run daily, weekly, and monthly cash application and accounts receivable reports.
• Maintain organized spreadsheets and accounting records using Excel and internal systems.
• Handle confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion.
• Provide administrative support to the Accounting Department and assist with special projects as assigned.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in cash applications, accounts receivable, or general accounting preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and overall computer skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
