Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Sterile Processing with Level 1 Trauma experience required

License: State RN License preferred

Certifications: CBSPD and/or HSPA required

Must-Have:

• Proficient in sterilization, decontamination, assembly, and wrapping procedures
• Experience with neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, orthopedics, transplant, and gynecological cases preferred
• Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and high-level disinfection
• Capable of handling cleaning equipment and proper selection of wrapping materials
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs

Description: The Sterile Processing Tech will be responsible for the sterilization, decontamination, and assembly of surgical instruments. Experience in a Level 1 Trauma environment is required. The role includes the cleaning and maintenance of instruments and equipment. The tech should have experience in various specialty surgical cases such as neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, orthopedics, transplant, and gynecology. The position requires adherence to strict protocols for infection control and safety standards. Knowledge of the proper handling and wrapping procedures for sterilization is essential. Floating to sister facilities may be required based on departmental needs. The Sterile Processing Tech will ensure that all instruments are ready for use in surgical procedures. Candidates must possess the necessary certifications and experience to excel in this role.
