• Patient Encounters Per Shift: ~10
• Shift Options: 12- or 24-hour in-house shifts (no call coverage)
• Dates Needed: Multiple ongoing dates from June through October and beyond
• Employment Type: Locum tenens / per diem / temp-to-perm / as-needed
• Nearest Airports: Latrobe (LBE) or Pittsburgh (PIT), PA - convenient for locum tenens NNPs

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a Level III NICU as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) or neonatal APRN
• Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner (NP) license; Pennsylvania licensure preferred (locum NP and compact/license guidance as applicable)
• Board certification or board eligibility in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine or relevant NP specialty
• BLS required; additional neonatal certifications (e.g., NRP) as required by facility
• Clinical skills in neonatal procedures and ability to participate in neonatal transport

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert neonatal clinical care for infants, including extremely preterm infants (23+ weeks gestation) in a Level III NICU
• Perform neonatal procedures: intubation, chest tubes, umbilical lines, PICC placement, arterial sticks, IV insertion
• Participate in neonatal transport and stabilization for inter-facility transfers as needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary NICU team (neonatologists, RNs, RTs, therapists) to deliver high-quality patient care
• Document patient encounters clearly in the medical record and communicate effectively with families and clinical staff
