Work Environment\n

This role is set in a supportive and collaborative remote work environment that emphasizes work-life balance. As a mental health counselor working from home, you will engage in virtual therapy sessions, manage your own caseload, and participate in team meetings and continued education opportunities through a variety of digital platforms. The work schedule is typically from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, providing culturally sensitive insights that inform individualized treatment plans for each patient.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the unique backgrounds and experiences of clients, ensuring that treatment is both effective and respectful.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, addressing a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to provide integrated and coordinated care.

• Offer crisis intervention support and remain responsive during mental health emergencies, utilizing strong crisis management skills.

• Educate clients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources to empower them in their healing journey.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

• Participate actively in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing cultural competency training to enhance personal and organizational practice.

• Stay informed about current research and best practices in mental health therapy, integrating new insights into therapy sessions as appropriate.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution

• Current and valid licensure (LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT) in the state of New York
\n
• Demonstrated understanding of mental health disorders and best practices in therapy, with a strong emphasis on cultural competence

• Proven experience in delivering individual and group therapy using culturally responsive methods

• Strong crisis intervention skills with an ability to remain composed and effective under pressure

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building trust with a diverse clientele

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and general computer applications
\n
• Commitment to ethical guidelines, professional boundaries, and client confidentiality

• A collaborative mindset, comfortable working within a multidisciplinary team structure

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
