- Develop and maintain referral relationships with behavioral health providers, hospitals, therapists, physicians, EAPs, and community partners throughout assigned territory.
- Generate new business opportunities through networking, cold outreach, provider meetings, community events, and strategic account development.
- Maintain consistent communication with referral sources to increase census and strengthen long-term partnerships.
- Educate referral partners on available programs, clinical offerings, levels of care, and admissions criteria.
- Collaborate closely with admissions and clinical teams to ensure smooth patient transitions and appropriate placements.
- Maintain detailed territory activity, referral tracking, and account management within CRM systems.
- Attend networking events, conferences, provider luncheons, and community outreach initiatives.
- Analyze territory trends and identify opportunities for growth and market expansion.
- Travel regularly throughout assigned territory to maintain face-to-face relationships and visibility within the community.
- 2+ years of business development, outreach, or admissions experience within behavioral health or healthcare.
- Strong understanding of co-occurring disorders and behavioral health treatment continuum.
- Experience working with multiple levels of care including detox, residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient settings preferred.
- Existing referral relationships within behavioral health, hospital systems, or healthcare networks strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of commercial insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, and self-pay markets preferred.
- Proven ability to build relationships, grow accounts, and drive admissions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and networking skills.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage territory independently.
- CRM proficiency preferred (Salesforce, Kipu, HubSpot, etc.).
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout territory.
