Sr. Quality Assurance Analyst

Apex Systems has an opening for a Sr. QA Analyst with a healthcare client. This role will support manual functional testing a gateway dashboard application that provides complex rendered data to customers.


Candidates for this position should be well versed in writing and executing SQL queries as well as writing, executing and managing functional test cases in Qtest.


Location: 100% remote (CST/EST work schedule)

Duration: 3.5-month Contract- expected to extend an additional 3 months. (6.5 months total)


Start Date: January 2, 2025

Position Description:

- Evaluates and tests new or modified software programs and software development procedures used to verify that programs function according to user requirements and conform to establishment guidelines.


- Writes, revises, and verifies quality standards and test procedures for program design and product evaluation to ascertain quality of software.

- Reviews new or modified program, including documentation, diagram, and flowchart, to determine if program will perform according to user request and conform to guidelines.


- May review computer operating log to identify program processing errors. Tests program for validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and conformance to establishment standards.


- May identify differences between establishment standards and user applications and suggest modifications to conform to standards.


Qualifications:

- 4+ years' experience in software testing.


- Must have strong experience writing and executing SQL queries.

- Strong experience with a test management system like qTest/ALM

- Strong experience of JIRA or similar agile software development too

- Strong knowledge of SDLC/Agile Scrum/KANBAN/Test Driven Development

- Strong analytical and technical skills

- Strong communication skills and self-starter

- Experience automating test cases using one of the following tools Tosca/Selenium, QTP/UFT, LeanFT are plusses

- Experience in Health Care, pharmaceuticals or managed care is a plus.

- Experience in Performance testing is a plus.

Required Skills : 1. 4+ years of Functional Manual Testing Experience- Majority of the experience needs to be with Qtest. 2. Strong SQL Experience- Should be able to Write and Execute and Test Complex SQL Queries (Strong ETL Testing) 3. Manual API Testing 4. Jira and confluence for test management - Qtest for test Management, execution, and writing. Should be able to write functional manual tests from scratch. - SQL- strong writing and executing of SQL Queries. - strong ETL testing ability - manual API testing - Jira and confluence for documentation
