Clinical Nurse Coordinator Labor and Delivery

St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center identifies a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to lead clinical and managerial operations on the labor and delivery unit. Job Summary As the primary decision‑maker for your shift, you will coordinate multidisciplinary care, ensure high‑quality patient‑centered services, and support the RN manager and director. You will supervise a portion of the staff, provide education and coaching, manage payroll edits, conduct performance reviews, and recognize employee achievements. Responsibilities Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care. Continuously assess the quality of nursing care services and operationalize evidence‑based practices to enhance patient safety and outcomes. Assume leadership responsibility within the unit in support of the RN manager/director, including direct supervision of staff, education and coaching, payroll editing, annual performance reviews, and employee recognition. Perform assigned responsibilities across core areas such as Quality, Safety, and Regulatory Preparedness; Patient Experience; Employee Engagement and Culture; Fiscal Responsibility; and Staff Development including education and graduate nurse residency/preceptor support. Qualifications Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 6 months of employment start date. Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Neonatal Resuscitation certification obtained within 6 months of employment start date. Registered Nurse (RN) license. Associate Degree in Nursing. At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience. No travel required.
