Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, documenting clients' psychological, emotional, and behavioral health from initial consultations through treatment completion.

• Develop, implement, and assess individualized treatment plans tailored to the diverse needs of clients including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques that foster healing and growth.

• Continuously monitor client progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to support their recovery and emotional well-being.

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create a comprehensive intervention strategy.

• Manage referrals and follow up with necessary parties for coordination of care, particularly for clients transitioning between various levels of treatment.

• Assist families and caregivers in understanding and managing the mental health challenges faced by their loved ones, promoting a supportive home environment.

• Stay current with developments in psychotherapy and integrate new knowledge into practice while adhering to the ethical standards set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse client population, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, and trauma-related disorders. Many clients may also face challenges related to underlying physical health conditions and addiction, providing you with a rich landscape in which to apply your therapeutic skills. Understanding each client’s unique circumstances is key to developing effective and compassionate mental health strategies.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.

• Completion of NCE, and/or NCMHCE with a strong passing score is essential.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of prior experience in a mental health counseling setting is mandatory.

• Proficient in the use of electronic health record systems such as AVATAR.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with clients suffering from complex co-occurring disorders, including mental health and addiction.

• Familiarity with best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• In-depth understanding of the pharmacological treatments and their effects as prescribed by medical professionals.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal acumen.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
