Job Title: Marketing Automation Specialist (Marketing Associate IV)

Location: Remote (PST preferred) or Onsite in Menlo Park, CA

Pay: $50 - $68 / hour

Duration: 12-month contract (possibility of extension or conversion)

About the Role

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Marketing Automation Specialist to join a high-performing Automation & Delivery team. This role is ideal for someone with 5–7 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and a deep understanding of audience segmentation, personalization, and dynamic content.

In this position, you’ll lead the technical execution of multi-channel campaigns—including email, event pages, and messaging—by building scalable, real-time experiences. The right candidate will be passionate about campaign automation, data integration, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and optimize multi-step automation journeys in SFMC using Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, and Content Builder
• Create dynamic content using Movable Ink, AMPscript, and SSJS
• Segment audiences and build logic using SQL and Salesforce Data Cloud
• Manage webinar/event registration pages and landing pages using Splash
• Partner with Marketing Tech, Analytics, and Creative teams to ensure campaign success
• Support campaign tagging, measurement, attribution, and reporting
• Ensure campaign quality and data governance standards are met
• Coordinate campaign assets using Highspot and similar tools
• Continuously optimize performance across marketing automation workflows

Qualifications

Required:

• 5–7 years of experience using SFMC with deep knowledge of:
• Journey Builder
• Automation Studio
• Email Studio
• Content Builder
• Strong command of AMPscript, SSJS, and SQL for data integration and segmentation
• Experience using Salesforce Data Cloud for audience targeting
• Familiarity with campaign tools like Movable Ink, Splash, and Highspot
• Strong organizational, time management, and QA skills
• Experience working cross-functionally to manage complex campaign delivery
• Self-starter with a proactive mindset and eye for continuous improvement

Nice to Have:

• Experience integrating chat automation tools into marketing workflows
• Understanding of tagging strategies and conversion funnel metrics
• Strong communication skills and ability to deliver high-quality work on time
• Experience with tools like Knack, Tableau, or similar
