Director, Talent Acquisition - Americas

Role Description

We need you to lead the Talent Acquisition (TA) CoE for the Americas region. This role helps ensure we have a robust talent pipeline, implement best-in-class technology and processes, and that the regional TA team continues to learn and grow. The Director, Talent Acquisition - Americas role will be based in the United States, Brazil, or Colombia, and will report to the Vice President, Talent Acquisition.

• Manage the centralized talent acquisition team that supports sourcing, selection, and onboarding activity across the Americas, including annual budget ownership.
• Continually evaluate and improve team capability through targeted development and coaching.
• Participate in the global talent acquisition leadership team to lead cross-regional projects and initiatives.
• Partner with the global TA CoE to select, implement, and enhance the TA technology stack.
• Manage vendor and agency contracts including evaluation, selection, and performance management.
• Ownership/creation of global and local policies and guidance related to the hiring process.
• Own the employer value proposition strategy and profile OTIS as an employer of choice.
• Ensure a cost-conscious recruitment model transformation.
• Benchmark, identify and implement creative avenues for sourcing high quality, diverse talent.
• Leverage recruitment data to drive recruitment efficiency.
• Advance the Otis brand across numerous markets and professional communities.
• Prepare field HR, Hiring Managers, and the TA team to identify the right candidates.
• Develop proactive candidate pools and sourcing techniques for frequently recruited and difficult to fill positions.
• Lead the local early career strategy including university selection and campus hiring.
• Some travel may be required (<20%).

Qualifications

• Extensive experience within HR/Talent Acquisition leadership.
• Deep understanding of interviewing methodologies and assessment techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and develop TA teams.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills, with a bias for action and results orientation.
• Experience managing and enhancing applicant tracking systems.
• Highly organized, disciplined, and detail oriented.
• Must be able to manage and present data in a concise and compelling way.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with stakeholders quickly through an inclusive working approach.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Requirements

• Previous experience in Talent Acquisition in an in-house model/center of excellence/community of expertise.
• Experience recruiting in North, Central, & Latin America including field/technical populations.
• Experience with implementing and enhancing a candidate relationship management system.
• Proven ability to influence and work effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Fast learner, able to readily apply knowledge gained in one situation to others.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Responsible and responsive.
