Process Development & Manufacturing Specialist II, CDMO

Maravai LifeSciences seeks a Process Development & Manufacturing Specialist II to produce research and clinical-grade components and products at their San Diego CDMO facility. The role involves equipment operation, wet chemistry, purification systems, and SOP development while serving as a subject matter expert and mentor.

Responsibilities

• Set up, clean, operate, and maintain equipment for manufacturing processes
• Perform wet chemistry reactions and utilize pilot-grade purification systems
• Author and implement SOPs for manufacturing and process operations
• Document all actions in batch records using GDP standards
• Provide technical expertise, mentoring, and training to laboratory team members

Requirements

• Experience with laboratory equipment setup, cleaning, operation, and maintenance
• Proficiency in wet chemistry reactions and pilot-scale purification systems
• Ability to author and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Strong documentation skills using Good Documentation Practices
• Leadership, mentoring, and training capabilities in laboratory settings
