Accounting Manager/Director - Heavy Remote

Kforce's client, a global professional services company in New York, NY, is seeking an Accounting Manager/Director. The work schedule is heavy work from home (in office 1 day per month). Hours are only 40 hours per week most weeks. When you are in office, there are satellite offices, outside of NYC, that are available. Candidates do need to be in EST or CST. Overview: This is a growth, M&A driven story where you can put your stamp on things. You will be immersed in the biggest trends in accounting: Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics Process Automation (RPA). This company is the global leader in its industry, and 1 of the most forward thinking, tech savvy accounting departments in the world. Duties will include:
- Month End Close
- Financial Statement Preparation
- Process improvement and automation; Including those focused on Robotics and Artificial Intelligence
- Financial reporting
- Consolidations
- Account Analysis and reconciliation
- Collaboration with major stakeholders
- Technical accounting
- Some FP&A; Budget, forecast, trend analysis, variance analysis * Internal Controls
- Develop and mentor accounting team
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
* CPA
- At least 5 years of experience, with at least 1 year as a Manager
- Experience in public accounting/audit a plus
- Big 4 experience a plus
- NetSuite a plus
- Workday (and Adaptive) a plus
- Oracle a plus
