US Record to Report Senior Accountant

Pfizer seeks a Senior Accountant for its Corporate Accounting organization to support financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance activities. The role involves preparing journal entries, reconciliations, balance sheet analyses, and supporting month-end and quarter-end close processes while maintaining U.S. GAAP compliance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, balance sheet analyses, and SOX controls documentation
- Support month-end and quarter-end close processes with accurate and timely deliverables
- Investigate routine and moderately complex account variances and research accounting guidance
- Maintain organized records, documentation, and compliance files according to established procedures
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders on process improvements and transformational projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with 2+ years experience, or master's degree, or associate's degree with 6+ years experience
- Practical experience with US GAAP and statutory accounting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- CPA or international equivalent (ACCA) preferred or eligible
- Public accounting experience preferred
- Advanced SAP and HFM experience preferred
