ABOUT OUR AGENCY
I opened my first agency in 2008 and expanded with a second office in 2025. Today, I lead a team of 12 across both locations. Before becoming a State Farm agent, I worked in Corporate Finance. I was drawn to agency ownership because I wanted to build my own business and have greater control over my future. I'm a graduate of both the University of Delaware and Villanova University, married, and a proud father of three. Giving back is important to our team, and we're proud to support organizations including our local food bank and the Autism Society of Delaware. As an Account Associate for Dan Dougherty - State Farm Agent, you are vital to our daily business operations and customers' success. You help grow our office through meaningful customer relations and acting as a liaison between customer needs and agency departments. You improve the lives of customers by proactively marketing relevant products and services.RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage customer accounts and update information in the database. Assist customers with policy changes and inquiries. Process insurance claims and follow up with customers on claim status. Coordinate with underwriters to ensure timely policy issuance.QUALIFICATIONS
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Previous experience in insurance or a related field preferred.
