Travel: Peds Audiologist

We are seeking a highly qualified Pediatric Audiologist to join our team on a travel basis. In this role, you will provide comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology services primarily for pediatric patients, including diagnostic audiograms, auditory brainstem response testing, otoacoustic emissions, and hearing aid fittings. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, excellent communication skills, and the ability to assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for hearing disorders in a pediatric population.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct age-appropriate audiological assessments, including visual reinforcement audiometry, conditioned play audiometry, and conventional audiometry.
• Interpret diagnostic test results and make appropriate treatment recommendations.
• Educate parents and caregivers about hearing health, treatment options, and follow-up care.
• Develop and coordinate individualized care plans involving amplification, therapy, referrals, and educational resources.
• Communicate effectively with families, medical staff, and team members regarding assessment results and recommendations.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed during assessments and treatments.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and billing in accordance with departmental guidelines.
• Manage own schedule efficiently to maximize productivity.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information.
• Support the department's goals by working collaboratively and demonstrating professionalism in all interactions.
• Perform duties with minimal supervision and adapt to floating responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

• Doctoral Degree in Audiology (AuD) required.
• License to practice Audiology in Texas required.
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Certification through ASHA or ABA required.
• 0-3 years of pediatric audiology experience preferred, including externships.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with children and families.
