Step into an engaging educational setting by supporting students as a Paraprofessional or Instructional Aide across several vibrant elementary schools in the Mill Valley area. With multiple full-time contract roles available, you’ll play a vital role in assisting educators and empowering students from Transitional Kindergarten through 5th grade. Your positive attitude, adaptability, and dedication will help foster an inclusive and caring environment for diverse young learners.
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional, instructional aide, or in a similar school-based support role
- Comfortable working in general education classrooms with a range of ages (TK–5th grade)
- Willing to assist with all aspects of student support including toileting and diapering as needed
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility with site placement and daily responsibilities across multiple elementary schools
- Eagerness to complete required paraprofessional training prior to start date
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct classroom support under the supervision of certified teachers
- Engage students in learning activities, social development, and positive classroom behavior
- Assist in implementing instructional plans tailored to student needs
- Support students with daily routines including arrival, dismissal, meals, and movement between activities
- Help maintain a safe and welcoming classroom environment for all children
- Collaborate closely with school staff and fellow aides
These positions offer a structured schedule (32.5 hours per week), with start and end times designed to balance both before and after school coverage. Assignments run from mid-August through early June, giving you the chance to be a continuous, reliable presence for your students.
