Certified Surgical Technician

Job Description Certified Surgical Technician is needed for a busy hospital system in Charleston, South Carolina. Sign on bonus and/or relocation assistance are being offered. The ideal candidate will be a Certified Surgical Technician or Registered Nurse with experience in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, aseptic techniques, and experience in various medical settings. Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms for surgery Set up surgical instruments and equipment Assist the surgical team during procedures Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgical process Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures Ensure all surgical equipment is functioning properly Perform pre- and post-operative duties as needed Requirements Certification as a Surgical Technologist with 2 years of surgical work experience or active Registered Nurse licensure with 2 years of surgical work experience Proficiency in aseptic techniques and infection control practices Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology Experience working in an operating room, Level II Trauma Center, or acute care setting Familiarity with Epic or similar electronic health record systems Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations Pediatric surgical experience is a plus Strong analytical skills to assess situations quickly and make informed decisions Sign on bonus is being offered as well as relocation.
