Job Overview Travel Nurse RN ICU – Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU) for a 13‑week contract in Charlotte, North Carolina. Start Date: 06/08/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12‑hour nights (18:45‑07:15), every other weekend required. Employment Type: Travel Job Description The Neuro ICU Registered Nurse will provide high‑level nursing care in a comprehensive stroke center, focusing on patients with neurological conditions. The role includes performing critical assessments and interventions for patients recovering from strokes, undergoing neurosurgery, or managing complex neurological disorders. Responsibilities Monitor and manage patients with strokes (ischemic and hemorrhagic), SDH, craniotomy patients. Administer medications and blood products as required. Conduct continuous ICP monitoring and manage external ventricular drains (EVD). Provide care for patients requiring ventilation, including sedation management. Implement and follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Neuro Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU). ACLS and BCLS certifications are mandatory. NIHSS certification preferred. Experience with arterial line management and lumbar drains is significant.
