Payroll Specialist

Role: Payroll Specialist Location: Denver, CO (on site) Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 / year DOE Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision and 401(k) We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support payroll processing for a mid-to-large, multi-jurisdictional workforce. This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant payroll operations across weekly and biweekly pay cycles, partnering closely with HR, Benefits, Finance, and Operations teams. Responsibilities Process weekly and biweekly payroll for 1,500-2,000 employees in the US and Canada through ADP WorkforceNow Review, audit, and validate payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance before submission Process employee transactions including new hires, terminations, pay changes, bonuses, deductions, garnishments, and other payroll adjustments Assist with final pay calculations and terminations in accordance with applicable federal, state/provincial, and local requirements Prepare off-cycle payments, special payroll runs, and manual payments as needed Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies through research, analysis, and collaboration with internal partners Reconcile payroll reports and perform payroll audits to identify and correct discrepancies Generate, analyze, and maintain recurring and ad hoc payroll reports Support internal and external payroll audits by gathering required documentation and records Serve as a trusted resource for employee payroll inquiries, delivering timely and professional customer service Partner closely with HR, Benefits, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure accurate employee and payroll data Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and payroll information Stay current on payroll regulations, tax requirements, and industry best practices Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and enhance payroll accuracy Requirements 2+ years of payroll processing experience in a mid-to-large organization Experience with a major cloud-based payroll/HCM platform required (e.g., ADP Workforce Now or similar) Experience processing payroll across multiple jurisdictions (multi-state and/or international) Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally Equal Opportunity Employer Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
