About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified IMC RN in Kansas City, Missouri, 64101!

• Provide direct patient care in a PCU/IMC/Stepdown setting with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmias; manage cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration)
• Perform and manage complex clinical skills including central line care, PICC line management, chest tubes, tracheostomy management, and wound care/wound vac
• Support pre/post cardiac procedures including cardiac cath, cardiac surgery, and post-MI care, as well as pre/post hemodialysis management
• Participate in weekend shifts (expected 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period, combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday) and holiday shifts as assigned; Charge RN assignments may be required as needed
• Float between departments, units, and facilities as needed; must hold both Kansas and Missouri licensure, or a compact license, at time of submission

• Active RN license (pending license accepted); must hold both Kansas and Missouri licensure or a compact license at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Proficiency in telemetry, cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, blood product administration, heparin protocols, PCA, CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC, ABG interpretation, and isolation precautions
• All requested time off (RTO) must be finalized at time of submission; no additional RTO or schedule requests can be made post-offer or after starting onsite; maximum of 7 days RTO
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

• Experience with EPIC electronic health records system
• Background in a Magnet-recognized, teaching, or Level 1 Trauma hospital environment
• Experience with renal failure management, feeding tube care, and surgical drain management

• Work at a 5-time Magnet Award-recognized, Level 1 Trauma, tertiary care teaching hospital with 456 staffed beds
• Complimentary on-site parking available; expected schedule of 3 shifts per week with cancellation provisions outlined in contract terms
