CNC Machinist

We specialize in connecting local employers with local talent. We are currently seeking a CNC Lathe Operator for a manufacturing company in Glendora. JOB DESCRIPTION: Duties for this position include, but are not limited to: Set up and operate CNC lathes to machine precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions. Understand and apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) requirements. Read, understand, and make adjustments to G-Code and M-Code programs. Perform tool changes, offsets, adjustments, and basic program edits as required. Inspect finished and in-process components using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools. Verify component dimensions and tolerances to ensure conformance with specifications. Identify and correct machining issues related to tooling, feeds and speeds, offsets, and machine setup. Maintain accurate production and inspection records. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow company quality, safety, and production procedures. Work collaboratively with machinists, programmers, quality personnel, and other members of the manufacturing team. Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ideal candidates should possess the following skills/qualifications demonstrated through previous work experience : At least two years of experience as a CNC Lathe Operator/CNC Lathe Set-Up Experience machining precision components to close tolerances. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings. Working knowledge ofG-Codes and M-Codes . Knowledge of GD&T and its application to precision machining. Proficiency using precision measuring and inspection equipment, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts. Ability to troubleshoot machining and setup issues. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
